Heartfelt Quilts of Valor was established in 2022 by several Spearfish volunteer ladies who collaborate with local veterans' organizations to meticulously hand make quilts to the exacting standards of the national Quilts of Valor Foundation.  Each quilt is formally awarded to nominated service  members and veterans impacted by war to signify deep gratitude and respect for their service.  *To date over 180 presentations have been made.  Their efforts extend beyond Spearfish to surrounding communities such as Rapid City, Buffalo, Piedmont, Sturgis, Sundance, Lead, Deadwood, Hot Springs and beyond.

Join us as we decorate cars & trailer for the July 4th Parades. We meet at Spearfish High School parking lot. Parade step off is noon. We travel through Spearfish, Deadwood, Center City and Lead. Later after the parade is a BYOB-type BBQ and viewing of the Fireworks over the cut in Lead.

Christine Maki Facilitator of SD- Greater Black Hills chapter of A Girl & A Gun will speak to us regarding gun safety, training, engagement and empowerment among women.

Our Reagan Day Celebration is an opportunity to come together and honor a Republican woman who has shown a lifelong commitment to the conservative principals of the Republican Party. We sponsor a very special gathering on Saturday November 14th of Northern Hills Veterans. For the forth year in a row we invite veterans from all branches of the military, and their families to a free meal and comradery to hear an inspirational speaker at the VFW Spearfish.
